The Role
As the WI AI Engineering Chapter Team Leader, you blend deep knowledge of software engineering, data engineering and machine learning engineering with a passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing associates. You are deeply committed to improving the value delivered to our customers.
In an agile structure you will collaborate with other leaders to establish the standards for your chapter, influence the strategic decisions and build solutions domain to your expertise. You will directly manage a team of chapter members who primarily work within squads across product areas but report directly to you. You will work with a Squad as a technical leader to ensure engineering best practices and delivery of the squad's projects.

The Expertise and Skill You Bring
- Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science / similar technical subject area
- 15+ years of work experience in large-scale, sophisticated systems development initiatives focused on Data, Analytics, Machine Learning, and similar areas with hands-on, managerial experience
- Strong experience working with AWS Services especially related to data and analytics - S3, EC2, Lambda, Glue, SNS, SQS, Sagemaker required.
- Experience developing, enabling and deploying Generative AI applications, especially managing infrastructure related aspects of GenAI and Foundation Model enablement with Azure and AWS.
- Extensive experience working with machine learning models with respect to deployment, scoring (inference), tuning and measurement required.
- Experience working with Python modules and libraries for data manipulations and extractions
- Experience developing APIs using Java / Spring Boot and deployment on EKS/Rancher/Kubernetes a plus
- Critical thinking and the ability to work in an agile environment
- Prior experience successfully leading Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) required
- Experience identifying and acquiring strategic talent needs, strategic resource planning, and talent allocation
- Experience working in a matrixed organization required.
- Experience working in Financial Services Industry preferred
- Strong problem resolution skills required
The Value You Deliver
- Lead a development team of ML Engineers, (including hiring, performance assessments) and coach the team to their full potential
- Be a Technical Leader for the squad for delivery of squad's projects
- You will help champion and drive development standards to improve quality, efficiency, and consistency
- Work with scrum masters and product owners to plan releases and coordinate development activities
- You will collaborate with technology and business partners across Fidelity to provide strategic input into the long-term direction and roadmaps
