Our client, a leader in the metallurgical industry, is seeking a Melt Shop Process Engineer to join their team. As a Melt Shop Process Engineer, you will be part of the engineering department supporting production and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Melt Shop Process Engineer
Location: Beaumont, Texas
Pay Range: $90,000 - $115,000
What's the Job?
- Provide technical coordination support for the Melt Shop, including the development and refinement of operating procedures for the electric arc furnace and caster.
- Collect, interpret, and analyze production data to monitor performance and recommend improvements for efficiency.
- Collaborate with department supervisors and maintenance personnel to ensure optimal operation of all related equipment.
- Assist in the preparation and completion of blueprints for machinery modifications and installations.
- Stay updated on current technologies to recommend changes for continual improvement in production processes.

What's Needed?
- Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering or a related field.
- 5 to 8 years of relevant work experience in steel manufacturing or metallurgy.
- Basic knowledge of metallurgy and steel manufacturing techniques.
- Experience with electric arc furnaces, casters, and related equipment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively train and advise production and maintenance staff.
