Our client, a leader in the office furniture industry, is seeking a Mechanical Design Product Engineer to join their team. As a Mechanical Design Product Engineer, you will be part of the engineering department supporting innovative product development. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a positive can-do attitude, and a collaborative spirit which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

  • Work cross-functionally with engineers, mechanical designers, and marketing to develop and improve product designs.
  • Conduct independent studies and analyses to support engineering projects.
  • Lead the engineering approvals of production parts while adhering to project budgets and schedules.
  • Utilize Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) techniques to ensure product reliability.
  • Create and define performance requirements on engineering drawings and manage product data effectively.

What's Needed?

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 4 years of experience in product development from concept to production.
  • Proficiency in PTC CREO and familiarity with Product Data Management (PDM) systems such as Windchill.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical information effectively.
  • A proven track record of successful product launches into production.
