The Business Development Associate supports one or more members of the Enterprise Revenue Team to maximize new logo acquisition and upsell to current customers through sales planning, prospecting, account mapping, initial sales calls, proposal and sales materials development, and follow up with targeted accounts to drive the sale. In this capacity, the Associate directly facilitates the acquisition of new strategic customers and the optimization of sales for large strategic enterprise accounts that contribute to EVERFI's Revenue goals.

Responsibilities

  • Support Enterprise Account Executives throughout the sales process to achieve quota targets. This includes facilitating the identification of top prospects and customers with upsell potential 
  • Conduct in-depth account and contact research to inform short term and long term account strategies and planning
  • Prospect and qualify strong opportunities in the ESG  team’s territory by cold calling and thoughtful email outreach
  • Schedule and participate in customer meetings and presentations with potential & current customers, as needed, and in support of the Enterprise Account Executive
  • Synthesize, document, and provide market feedback to internal teams to help tailor and refine EVERFI products, sales messaging and marketing materials for all stages of the sales process
  • Assist in identifying and lead in producing compelling sales collateral customized to account and stakeholder needs throughout the sales process and coordinate with internal stakeholders to inform sales assets to accelerate sales cycle
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of EVERFI's products and represent the EVERFI brand alongside the Enterprise Account Executive via client calls, presentations and at events
  • Maintain notes in Salesforce accordingly 
  • Other job related duties as assigned

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1 year Sales, Agency, Business Development or similar experience with a demonstrated track record of hitting and exceeding targets
  • Ability to meet individual goals while directly supporting achievement of team revenue goals
  • Excellent professional communication skills, both oral and written; ability to adjust message to various audiences
  • Self-motivated, and solutions-driven 
  • Creative and detailed oriented
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong collaboration, relationship and probing skills
  • Aspire to grow professionally through coaching and development 
  • Proficient with Google Suite, including Slides and Sheets
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment; work well under pressure
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce preferred
  • Ability to travel occasionally, as needed
