Maintenance Engineer II

Job Description:

To perform duties necessary to keep the physical structure, appearance, and systems of the Medical Center in good condition, including but not limited to, repair and preventative maintenance of the following systems and associated equipment: electrical systems, pneumatic systems, air conditioning systems, refrigeration systems, air compressor systems, air handling units, steam generating systems, emergency generator systems, fire pump systems, medical gas systems, kitchen and cafeteria equipment, laundry equipment, computerized energy management systems and patient care areas; painting and minor woodworking and other building related systems; complete work requests and other duties assigned by Maintenance Supervisor. Also, to act as security during normal working hours and special emergencies. Education Qualifications:

Education and/or years experience required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• AA/AS or higher in a facility, construction or related industry or minimum one year vocational school or minimum one year hands-on experience in the facilities, construction or related industry

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

Licensure/Certifications required:

• Valid MN Driver’s license and meet driving requirements acceptable to Essentia Health 's insurer
• Valid MN Special Class Engineer License or the ability to obtain during the 520-hour probationary period. In addition, employee must obtain a MN 2nd Class B Boiler Engineer license within a period of 18 months.
