Status: Full-Time (Weekends & Holidays Required)
Position Overview:
The Marina Operations Associate plays a key role in supporting the smooth daily operations of Loggerhead Marina. This hybrid position combines customer service, light administrative support, and dockhand responsibilities. Approximately 70% of your time will be spent working outdoors on the docks and in the Florida sun, so candidates must be comfortable and physically capable of working in a marine environment and variable weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate day-to-day marina operations including vessel arrivals, slip assignments, and customer inquiries
- Deliver exceptional hospitality to slip holders, transient guests, and contractors both in person and over the phone
- Support administrative functions including data entry, filing, and basic communication tasks
- Perform hands-on dockhand duties: assist with docking/undocking, fuel services, pump-outs, and dock maintenance
- Conduct regular inspections of docks, slips, safety equipment, and marina facilities to ensure cleanliness and readiness
- Enforce marina rules, policies, and safety procedures with professionalism and courtesy
- Assist with ship store duties: customer sales, restocking, and basic merchandising
- Coordinate vendor deliveries, scheduled maintenance, and repair services
- Participate in marina events, boat shows, and seasonal community activities
- Maintain accurate operational logs and incident reports
Qualifications:
- Prior marina, hospitality, retail, or boating experience is a plus, but not required
- Must be physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and work on and around docks and vessels
- Comfortable working outside in heat, humidity, and changing weather conditions
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong customer service orientation with a professional, team-player attitude
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office, email; familiarity with Dockmaster or similar marina software is helpful)
- Valid driver's license required
Work Schedule:
- Full-time, 5 full days per week with two consecutive days off
- Weekend and holiday availability is required
