ELS is hiring for the position of Business Administrator in Manheim, Pennsylvania.

Business Administrator Opportunity:

As Business Administrator, you will provide administrative oversight and work collaboratively with the property manager daily with various day to day operations of this seasonal summer focused, membership based campground. Each day might be a little different from the last, but you will help in guiding fellow team colleagues to deliver excellence in service. In addition to daily office work of typing, filing, and scheduling, this role has financial record keeping, coordination of meetings and conferences, obtaining supplies, coordinating direct mailings, working on special projects and assisting in all areas. Additionally, this role answers non-routine correspondence, coordinates confidential and sensitive information dealing with a diverse group of important external callers and guests while being a key contact for all internal personnel at all levels of the organization. The person in this role functions in many ways as an invaluable extension of and to the property manager supporting operations occasionally in our Trading Post Store and Ranger duties and others on an as needed basis. This role is a full-time, year-round position with benefits with potential for future growth opportunities with Equity LifeStyle Properties (els) a leading owner and operator of manufactured home communities, marinas, RV resorts and campgrounds in North America.

Because we are a seasonal business, the demands, responsibilities, and hours will change with the operating/non operating seasons. Annually, April through October is our "In or open season", and the schedule will be 5 days per week (including every weekend) averaging 40 hours per week. During the "off or closed season" , November through March, the role offers greater flexibility with options around the number of work days and averaging 32-40 hours weekly with all weekends off.

Ideally, the position would start as soon as possible with the right candidate. We are looking for a long-term placement from someone who is dedicated to quality with a confident and engaging yet humble, friendly and approachable demeanor. The best candidate wants to positively impact our campers/guests stay and can work easily with any team member in creating invaluable warm memories for our campers. This position is a great stepping stone for a candidate who potentially has an interest in growing into an RV Resort Manager or similar. Job Summary:

Essential Job Functions:

Key responsibilities include:

• Communicate empathically and competently

• Must have excellent interpersonal skills in order to answer phones and respond to emails tactfully thoroughly while working in cooperation with other Team Members to execute operational needs.

• Screen and route phone, paper mail and email communications to appropriate personnel

• Drafts written responses or replies by phone or e-mail when necessary. Responds to regularly occurring requests for information

• Works independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects

• Assist with reservations and collecting payments with a focus on ensuring billing is paid in full.

• Assist with schedules of the Rangers and the Trading Post Team Members and others

• Assist with Ranger duties when necessary

• Work in the Trading Post, which may include food handling

• Manage the Inventory at the Trading post with ordering, receiving, stocking and periodic inventory counts

• Assist with Activities scheduling and fulfilment

• Coordinate campground social media with our liaison

• Assist with Housekeeping duties when necessary

• Attend and participate in training programs and seminars as required

• Run errands, including off property as well as delivering various communications to guests or residents, as needed

• Supervise Team Member's compliance courses

• Support campground needs that may include team-building facilitation

• Types and designs general correspondences, memos, charts, tables, graphs, business plans, etc. Proofreads copy for spelling, grammar, and layout, making appropriate changes. Responsible for accuracy and clarity of final copy

• Acts as a liaison with other departments and outside agencies/vendors. Handles confidential and non-routine information discretely and explains policies when necessary

• Assist with Storage Contracts and payments

• Assist with the Annual Contracts, files and documents within

• Assist with managing expenses such as office supplies, activities supplies and maintenance supplies

• Assist with processing monthly petty cash replenishment reports

• Assist with data entry for accounts payable and help to reconcile past due receivables

• Maintain confidentiality of park business using good judgement regarding sensitive information involving guest/member concerns as well as employee relations.

• Assist with other duties and projects as assigned by the Manager

• Commitment to work weekends during season and have a more flexible schedule in the off season

• Strong computer skills - Publishing programs, Outlook email, DocuSign, Microsoft Office 365 - especially MS Excel and Word, Nexus purchasing software.

• High School diploma; Associate and/or Bachelor degree preferred
