Senior Network Service Engineer, Federal

Job Summary
As a Senior Network Engineer functioning in a demanding, highly technical role, candidate is responsible for implementing managed network solutions to satisfy customer requirements and performing escalation resolution for network events. Performs configuration, deployment, installation, and operation of network assets in accordance with established implementation plans. Works closely with customer technical personnel to resolve issues and verify functionality. Executes problem isolation and remediation for network issues at an advanced level. Establishes management and monitoring of deployed solutions. Serves as a technical expert/SME on network devices, technologies, and tools. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Implement network solutions, to include configuring, deploying, installing, and operating a range of network devices and technologies
  • Perform escalated network issue identification and remediation
  • Document solution and equipment details in multiple databases and tools as needed
  • Establish monitoring and management for deployed solutions
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Top Secret Govt Clearance Required
  • Advanced knowledge of network fundamentals (network models, switching functions, routing functions, firewall functions)
  • Advanced knowledge of network concepts (TCP/IP, routing protocols (OSPF, IS-IS, BGP), switching, L2VPN, L3VPN, EVPN)
  • Extensive experience with network equipment (specifically Juniper ACX, SRX, EX)
  • Extensive experience with network deployment, operation, and management
  • Experience with monitoring systems and functionality (specifically Solarwinds)
  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
  • Certification preferred, ideally at Professional or Expert level
  • 10 years experience in network engineering positions preferred

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

This position may be offered in other locations. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
