Project and Program Associate - M&A Integration
Job Summary
As part of the Integration Management Office, the Project Manager Associate will work close to the Integration Program Manager supporting integration coordination and project management. The Project Manager Associate will help coordinate cross-functional activities of various organizations including Finance, IT, Operations, Sales Operations, Customer Experience, etc. to ensure smooth onboarding of the acquired company's employees, processes and systems. This person will also work with various functions to achieve strategic business objectives, including, but not limited to synergies, budget, and timelines.
Responsibilites
- Work with all functions to manage integration projects. The scope and complexity of the activities can range from scheduling meetings to managing large and complex projects with multi-function teams requiring detailed schedules, highlighting interdependencies, and can involve supporting the international teams as well
- Lead cross-functional team meetings to continuously track progress, risks and mitigation, issues, actions, and owners to ensure activities are on schedule and within budget while meeting established objectives
- Assist other functions as needed to achieve Business Objectives
- Contribute and participate in progress reports to Equinix's Executive Leadership
- Work with other program managers on interdependencies on simultaneous projects
- Follow up with the team to ensure execution against plans within the agreed time frame
- Regular management reporting on the status of projects
- Proactively provide updates to management on the tasks that you are assigned
- Provide input to the development of key learnings from each sub-project
- Support the delivery of projects/programs by delivering tasks required of them
- Manage small improvement projects
Qualifications
- Good foundation-level understanding of project management
- Methodical attention to detail
- Tenacity in coordination of project team members to achieve project timelines and outcomes.
- Analytical problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Self-starter with a desire to make a significant impact on the project execution
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools, i.e., Excel, and PowerPoint required
- Experience with Smartsheet preferred
- Experience working in fast-paced organizations with the ability to align with changing priorities.
- Ability to work towards deadlines and manage conflicting priorities.
- Establish trust with project staff and develop strong working relationships.
- Work with relevant department stakeholders to coordinate and prioritize activities.
- Has a basic technical knowledge of designated products/processes.
- Handles escalations with close guidance from a leader/manager.
- Resolves issues with close guidance from the leader/manager.
