Director, M&A Project and Program Management

Job Summary

Manages and leads the team responsible for company wide programs. Is responsible for planning standards reviews and setting strategy for company-wide programs/portfolios.

Responsibilities

Project Planning and Execution

  • Proven experience in building integration implementation plans from disparate sources of information, aligned to strategy and goals of mergers and acquisitions
  • Ability to proactively identify dependencies, communicate and create mitigation plans to ensure successful execution of the integration plan
  • Providing active participation & representation within cross-functional Integration workstreams
  • Manage transition between program phases and ensure deliverables have met and signed off according to establish standards
  • Play an active role to manage risks, issues and mitigation and escalate where necessary
  • Share thought leadership to mature and create process efficiencies where needed

Communication and Stakeholder Management

  • Provide leadership, coordination, and cross-functional communication to ensure achievement of objectives and timelines
  • Communication and reporting within IT functional track, and cross-functionally as required through the Program Channels
  • Provide leadership and actively participate on meetings, sending agendas, defining, and communicating meeting objectives, to ensure follow through, follow up and closure of critical action items
  • Engagement with the appropriate stakeholders, to maintain alignment on program
  • Build relationships by creating trust through partnership and successful execution
  • Present to program steering committees making detailed, prioritized recommendations, facilitating discussions, and driving decision making
  • Ensure stakeholders understand the impact of changes introduced by the project

Risk & Issue Management

  • Prepare and manage the project Risk Management Plan
  • Develop and maintain regular risk assessments and risk mitigations plans
  • Timely escalation and resolution of complex project-level issues

Resource and Budget Management

  • Forecast and track project budget and resource requirements
  • Work with the Portfolio Manager to ensure program initiatives are correctly resourced and funded
  • Work with the portfolio manager to resolve resource conflicts and budget mismatches

M&A Responsibilities

  • Manage interfaces to enable requirement delivery for track with appropriate reviews and sign off
  • Support functional communication and change management
  • Prepare program level reporting decks and commentary as needed
  • Facilitate interactions and communication between the engineering team and our business stakeholders, and vendors
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity in engagements and interactions
  • Ability to take on new task as requested

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor or Master STEM Degree; Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field
  • A minimum of 7+ years of overall Program/Project Management with at least 3+ years of proven experience in Mergers and Acquisition Programs, managing multiple high performing multi-function teams required
  • Demonstrated experience leading successful large, complex, high-value strategic technology M&A work, executing in an Agile and Hybrid environment required
  • Experience using Project Management tools (Confluence, JIRA, Smartsheet etc.) required
  • Other Professional qualifications, such as PMP (Project Management Professional), PMI-ACP (Agile Certified) required
  • Prior experience must demonstrate the ability to work and drive clarity in a changing and ambiguous environment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills, demonstrated through delivery of large, complex acquisition programs
  • Practical and hands-on approach to delivering outcomes
  • Experience with building strong working relationships across teams and stakeholders
  • Strong executive presence and thought leadership to influence decisions to drive successful project outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, globally distributed environment
  • Great communication and cross-team collaboration
  • Knowledge of the Scaled Agile Framework, SAFe Certification a plus
  • Expertise in one or more project management Agile methodologies desired

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
