We are looking for an Accountant to join our APAC Lease and Revenue Accounting team.
Responsibilities:
Leasing
- Assist with accounting for leasing transactions in compliance with regulatory reporting requirements, including accounting standard (both US GAAP and IFRS), company policies and internal control standards
- Review and analyze lease contracts and prepare accounting impact analysis
- Prepares journal entries for posting, flux analysis and reconciliations work as needed
- Assist on financial audit PBC requests for quarterly financial review and the annual audit for both Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting and local statutory requirements
Revenue
- Assist with review of customer contracts to determine revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606 standard and prepare accounting memos/write-ups to document the revenue accounting treatment as necessary.
- Review and analyze revenue/bad debt reserves file and prepare journal entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Perform reconciliations of revenue-related general ledger accounts, proactively investigate discrepancies, and implement resolutions to address any variances.
Others
- Prepare ASC 842 and ASC 606 financial disclosures for inclusion in SEC filings, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
- Supports the partnership with upstream data owners, internal and external auditors, and Global Process Manager to solve a variety of accounting matters
- Engage in special projects on an as-needed basis, applying analytical skills and accounting expertise to support strategic initiatives and resolve ad hoc challenges
What you should have
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
- 1+ years of accounting experience
- Public accounting experience preferred
- Good understanding of US GAAP or IFRS is preferred
- Prior experience in lease and/or revenue accounting is a plus
- Open to candidates with audit background with no lease/revenue accounting background
- Strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail
- Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint)
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Team player with a positive attitude
