Senior C++ Engineer

We are on the lookout for a skilled Senior C++ Engineer to lead the transformation of healthcare applications.
This role centers around steering a team towards the modernization of services to a Linux-based AWS cloud environment, enhancing performance, maintainability, and continuous integration processes to boost efficiency within a fast-paced, expanding company.
The remote option applies only to the Candidates who will be working from any location in Ukraine.

Responsibilities

• Work with the project team to comprehend and evaluate the current application architecture and services
• Plan and carry out PoCs to confirm the feasibility of proposed modernization strategies and technologies
• Transition the current application services from an on-premise Windows setup to a Linux-based AWS cloud environment using containerization
• Revise and enhance existing C/C++ and other language codebases for improved performance and maintainability
• Establish and manage CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins for automated testing and deployment
• Cooperate closely with the database team to transition the Oracle database to Oracle RDS/Aurora DB, ensuring data integrity and security
• Document all processes, designs, and architectures, providing regular updates to stakeholders
• Identify and resolve any technical challenges encountered during the modernization process
• Stay informed on the latest industry trends and technologies to recommend project improvements and enhancements

Requirements

• 4+ years of practical C++ hands-on experience
• Proven capability to lead and oversee a developer team
• Background in COM and managed C++
• Proficiency in both legacy C++98 codebases and best practices from C++11/14/17
• Flexibility to use and navigate large codebases
• Competency in debugging across both Windows and Linux platforms
• Basic familiarity with Make and CMake build systems
• Understanding of SQL: capability to develop more complex nested queries is preferred
• Familiarity with Agile principles with effective function in an Agile development setting
• Analytical, proactive, with the ability to work independently
• B1 level English proficiency or higher
