Lead People Operations Specialist

EPAM is looking to add a Lead People Operations Specialist to join our team in Canada. Reporting to the Canada Head of People, the Lead People Operations Specialist is responsible for providing a broad range of Human Resource operational services for Canada. This position supports the strategic goals of the Human Resources department and the overall organization by providing support in all of areas of Human Resources including but not limited to operations, benefits, compliance, programs and policies, systems, reporting and HR projects. Responsibilities
  • Manage all Human Resources operational processes in the full employee life cycle from onboarding to offboarding
  • Perform the new hire process including system entry, background check administration, collection and audit of new hire paperwork and working closely with the Payroll team
  • Manage benefits and leave of absence administration including benefit orientation, renewal, enrollment, audit, billing, internal communications, liaising with providers and first point of contact for employees' queries
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable Canadian federal and provincial regulations as well as conduct regular audit of documentation and operational processes and programs
  • In collaboration with Canada Head of People, maintain, review and update HR policies, procedures, and documentation for Canada
  • Review and analyze data to identify trends and recommend innovative solutions to improve the employee experience
  • Influence and contribute towards Canadian policy development and implementation, benefit programs, employee communication strategies and employee development programs
  • Work with global teams to set up or update internal systems to meet Canada needs and requirements
  • Coordinate work with other global and local departments involved into related processes
  • Respond to employee queries on HR operational matters including employment verifications
Requirements
  • A minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience (HR operations, HRIS, benefits and leave administration or other People Operations) in a fast-paced, innovative workplace
  • Education in Human Resources or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge of Canadian employment legislations and regulations
  • Working towards Human Resources Professional Designation as asset
  • Passionate about teamwork & continuous improvement with attention to details and critical thinking skills
  • Self-starter and responsive with a customer service approach
  • Outstanding organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with strong problem-solving skills. The ability to prioritize competing demands and work within SLAs
  • Preferred experience in a global organization
