We are seeking a Lead AWS Cloud Cost Optimization Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should be an expert in core cloud services architecture and cost mechanics.
You should have hands-on experience in DevOps or SRE, possess deep experience in cost analysis and optimization in large AWS environments, have a passion for data analysis, and be a team player who can collaborate with others across the organization.

Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and cost-effective AWS solutions
- Provide technical leadership and expertise in architecting AWS cloud infrastructure
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure the effectiveness of cost improvements
- Lead and mentor a team of cloud engineers, providing technical guidance and support
- Analyze the client's product architecture and deployment costs
- Advise on architecture, waste management, and resource optimization in partnership with architects and engineers
- Investigate and monitor increases in cloud expenses to identify the sources
- Manage cloud reservation/savings plans and repurpose available capacity
- Examine data patterns and anomalies to derive actionable insights
- Propose savings opportunities relating to cloud commitments such as Reserved Instances and Savings Plans
- Develop strategies and plans for efficiency improvements
- Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and alerts for cloud costs and utilization
- Implement automated reporting for cost tracking and compliance
- Establish, automate, and govern Cost Optimization policies and practices
- Report on KPIs and suggest potential savings options
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in AWS cloud infrastructure and architecture
- 1+ years of relevant leadership experience
- Proficiency in AWS cloud infrastructure, cost reporting, and cost optimization in AWS environments
- Knowledge of AWS EKS, Containerization
- Background in using AWS Cost Explorer, AWS Cost and Usage Report, AWS Budgets, CloudHealth
- Experience in developing cost optimization dashboards, models, and reports for engineering teams
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively on multiple projects
- Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
- A strong desire to engage with emerging technologies
