Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of developers specializing in e-commerce - MACH, BigCommerce, Commerce Tools, and Contentful
- Oversee the technical aspects of projects, including planning, design, implementation, and testing, within MACH-based ecosystems and related platforms
- Ensure timely project deliveries and maintain a high standard of engineering excellence
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, quality assurance, and operations teams
- Spearhead the hiring process, defining job specifications, conducting interviews, and making informed hiring decisions
- Develop and implement comprehensive onboarding and training programs
- Provide regular feedback and conduct performance evaluations
- Manage and resolve conflicts within the team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
- Stay abreast of industry trends, tools, and best practices, integrating them into the team's workflows
- Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with company and industry standards
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in e-commerce engineering, with a focus on MACH, BigCommerce, Commerce Tools, and Contentful
- At least 2 years of leadership experience in managing projects within MACH-based environments
- Proven track record in leading and managing a team of engineers
- Profound understanding of engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices within MACH architecture
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Capacity to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall
- Familiarity with relevant industry tools, software, and technologies
- Public speaking experience is considered a plus
