ABOUT THE ROLE

EPAM is looking for a highly technical, proactive, and people-smart Director, Data Delivery Management to join the UK Data & Analytics Practice in London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing complex data programs, projects, multiple workstreams across various domains, and work with both local delivery team and delivery team globally.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end client delivery from initiation through the entire project lifecycle, ensuring successful delivery in line with EPAM processes
  • Manage customer relationships and expectations, representing delivery at the governance level
  • Coordinate multiple activity streams and clients, ensuring seamless delivery across all aspects, including finance, sourcing, implementation, and business outcomes
  • Work closely with multi-disciplined teams of product owners, architects, engineers, and quality assurance to drive estimates, delivery plans and retrospectives. Identify and manage engagement risks and flag major issues early
  • Proactively identify and manage engagement risks, escalating major issues early on
  • Participate in business development efforts for both existing clients and new projects, continuously identifying new opportunities

  • Leadership:
    • Proven experience in leading and managing teams, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management with the ability to provide strategic direction, set goals, and ensure the team's efforts align with the organization's data strategy
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Data management:
    • Proficiency in data management concepts, including data governance, data quality, data integration, and data lifecycle management
    • Experience in implementing data delivery pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes as well as knowledge of data modelling and database design principles
  • Project and Program Management:
    • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple complex data projects simultaneously from initiation to delivery whilst prioritize tasks effectively
    • Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and tools
  • Technical proficiency:
    • Solid understanding of data technologies, including databases (SQL, NoSQL), data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift), and ETL tools as well as cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data-related services
    • Ability to collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to ensure efficient data delivery and analysis
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Strong negotiation and communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring their requirements are met
    • Ability to present data delivery strategies and progress reports to executive leadership
  • Self-motivated, reliable, able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on meeting deadlines
  • Fluent in English
