Overview

As we continue to build our team in support of our vision to be the world's best and most trusted mobility company, our Supply Chain Management team is excited to announce an opening for a Contract Specialist!

The primary responsibility of the Contract Specialist is to facilitate the creation and review of technology-related master agreements, statements of work (SOW), non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), data protection agreements, addendums, contract templates and other related documents. The Contract Specialist will negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers and use the Coupa contract lifecycle management platform to publish contracts, track current contract obligations and implement contract management best practices. In this role, the Contract Specialist will advise internal teams on the various legal risks, business strategies and other issues related to commercial agreements and will assist with the continuous development of contract processes. This position may interpret and amend documentation in support of all Enterprise brands and business divisions.

This position is located at our Corporate Headquarters in Clayton, MO, with a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Structures, negotiates, administers, analyzes and maintains supplier contracts
  • Responds to complex inquiries regarding contract obligations, modifications and revisions
  • Reviews and analyzes contractual obligations of the parties as requested
  • Prepares and disseminates information regarding contract status, compliance, modifications, renewals, pointed summaries for legal department requests and inquiries, etc.
  • Identifies business risks associated with contractual commitments and collects and organizes information in support of business risk assessments
  • Responsible for consultation and escalation to leadership & Enterprise Mobility's legal department for any contractual issues that need legal consultation
  • Acts as the primary contact between the project team and/or business unit and Legal, ensuring that all legal and contractual matters are addressed efficiently and promptly
  • Responsible for informing the project team of the requirements of the contract
  • Develops and integrates contract management tools, templates, methods and processes
  • Develops and provides contract training as needed
  • Achieves a reasonable level of understanding of Enterprise's major business areas in order to communicate effectively with project team and provide relevant advice
  • Responsible for implementation of contract management best practices, processes and assure consistency across all contracts
  • Attend team and group meetings and attend/complete required training

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Two (2+) years of relevant experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, including purchasing agreements, MSA's, data protection agreements, and SOW's
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of IT contracts (Software License Agreements, SaaS Agreements, etc.)
  • Experience with contract lifecycle management software
  • Strong ability to prepare contractual terms and conditions as well as contract summaries for stakeholders
  • Knowledge of legal language
