The Director, Supply Chain & EGX will connect organizational goals with Network Planning Strategies and identify and implement the systems and tools necessary to effectively execute the Recovery Sciences operational strategy. This role will also lead EGX for the BU and utilize EGX tools and methodologies to drive a culture of continuous improvement, including leading kaizens, ensuring sustained results, tracking improvements and savings, and training team members to utilize EGX tools.

This role is responsible for developing and implementing systems, tools, and strategies that deliver financial, safety, service, and quality results in the Recovery Sciences organization. As the BU's SME in Oracle and Rapid Response, this role will lead implementation, training, system set-up, and continuous improvement to increase fill rates, optimize inventory/ improve turns, and reduce operational costs. Collaboration with the P&R Network Planning team and RS Commercial teams is essential to improve forecast accuracy and drive service level improvements.

This role is responsible for the Supply Chain and EGX strategy for a Recovery Sciences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead EGX activities across the BU by facilitating Kaizens and tracking improvements to contribute to improved margins
  • Partner with Network Planning, Sales, and Marketing to drive a proper Sales & Inventory Planning Process to include right-sizing global inventory and a focus on field inventory and spare part availability
  • Support Operations on the management and execution of the operational strategic vision to maximize profitability and improve customer experience
  • Collaborate with Finance on Operations P&L budgeting, forecasting, and reconciliation
  • Utilize creative thinking to re-engineer existing processes and eliminate manual and inefficient effort
  • Collaborate, influence, and build strong and sustainable business relationships with various functions and levels throughout the organization
  • Precisely and proficiently conduct business and data analyses with data driven recommendations and implementation of improvements and advancements
  • Effectively collaborate and communicate sales and marketing promotions and NPI launch plans with brand and R&D teams to collaborate with Demand and Network Planning
  • Ensure operational readiness and efficient Design transfer to Manufacturing, including BOM and COGS accuracy, and Oracle and Rapid Response set up
  • Create and track models to best align KPI's with organizational, operational, and strategic goals
  • Able to effectively present concepts, data, and results to all levels of the organization, including Executive Leadership
  • Create models to assist in make v buy and manufacturing strategy decisions
  • Identify opportunities for supplier, quality, shipping, and operational savings

Minimum Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing and distribution organizations

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or related field is required
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement Training is preferred

General Skills/Competencies/Specialized Knowledge

  • Proven Leadership Skills - ability to develop and manage employees
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present both basic and complex concepts to all levels of the organization
  • Ability to effectively prioritize resources and task
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills required
  • Experience in Continuous Improvement and leading kaizens is required
  • Oracle experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of operations finance and budgeting is preferred
  • Experience in New Product Introductions and Phase Gate processes is preferred

Travel Requirements | Work Environment:

Travel

  • Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time; domestically
  • Typical work-related travel assignments range 3-5 days, and as such overnight, out-of-town stays are required
