About the Opportunity
The EMEA Professional Services team is seeking an energetic, dynamic and collaborative Senior Consultant (Technical Architect) with Ellucian ERP, integration and development expertise, to help customers build integrations and enhancements to form a seamless digital campus. You will be instrumental in consulting and advising our customers, providing value add services and enhancements to integrate our ERP solutions with existing institutional services and other third-party applications.
The role will report to the Director, Professional Services EMEA, forming part of a global team of technologists and architects that support the product, technical, extensibility and integration needs that arise within the region. Higher Education customers are transforming to modern campuses while leveraging technology and solutions to enable student success.
The (Senior Consultant) Technical Architect is a critical role, and you will partner with our customers to enable educational technology including transformation to cloud/SaaS solutions and ensure successful adoption of these solutions. You will also be well versed with higher education products and understand best practices to solve integration and architectural problems, being able to articulate these in a concise and relatable way.
Where you will make an impact
- Consult, collaborate, design, propose architectures and solutions to enhance client business processes within the Ellucian SaaS extensibility platform.
- Be able to identify appropriate technologies for the solution given the constraints of the client ecosystem (i.e. people, process, and technology).
- Propose solutions that are cost-effective and in line with Ellucian's desired product direction.
- Work with a global dynamic team of architects, consultants, and developers to plan, develop, build, and test solutions.
- Consult, collaborate, implement, and assist clients with the implementation of Ellucian products.
- Provide project guidance, monitoring, and coordination with offshore resources to complete projects on-time and within budget constraints.
- Prepare concise technical documents that accurately describe project requirements and specifications for delivery.
- Business process reviews and analysis of client business requirements.
- Gather and document business requirements, carry out discuss with clients and present back their requirements.
- Configuration and software presentation workshops (preparation, execution, and follow-up).
What you will bring
- 3+ years of higher education experience preferred.
- 3+ years of experience working as a Developer, Business Analyst or Technical Architect designing, developing, and architecting solutions.
- Demonstrable experience working in the following areas:
- Development using Java, React, JavaScript, jQuery, Node, Bootstrap, CSS.
- Integrations using REST APIs, SOAP, Real Time, Message Queues, Publish/Subscribe, RabbitMQ, ETL, Jobs.
- Ellucian Banner ERP, Ethos Integration, Ethos Identity
- Data Migrations
- Oracle 11g and higher.
- SQL & PL/SQL
- Understanding of authentication and federation, SSO, SAML, CAS, LDAP
- Demonstrate integration architecture and design experience and have a passion for technology and for learning.
- Strong communication and analytical skills with demonstratable presentation and professional communication skill (written and verbal)
- Experience working independently and the ability to work remotely in a term environment.
