The Role

This is a dynamic summer position that requires the Activities Leader to create, produce, and lead fun activities and excursions for our students. These activities could include leading and organizing intramural sports, museum outings, beach trips, Red Sox games, on-campus movie nights, Harvard University tours, board game nights, and more. Candidates need to possess positive energy and a strong aptitude for creativity. The position requires great flexibility and entails wearing many hats including those of event coordinator, role model, and counselor. The Activities Leader may also be asked to help with host family recruiting and receptionist work. Community development is important in the position, and the Activities Leader should have a strong desire to provide support to the student body and to help make our international students feel at home here on campus and in Boston.

At our Brighton campus, we have around 600 students and the student body is a highly diverse; our summer students come from at least 50 different countries and range in age from 16-65. You would have the amazing chance to get to know and work with an incredible population of international students. The role is perfect for someone who is passionate about cultures.

The Activities Leader will work approximately 20-30 hours per week during the summer. The hours can be during the day, evening, and weekend. While this is only a summer position, successful candidates in this position could transition to a full-time role at EF in the future.

  • Prior experience working with college students
  • Computer skills required and experience with social media preferred
  • Flexibility: the willingness to roll-up one’s sleeves and do whatever it takes to get the job done
  • Ability to quickly learn new procedures and tasks
  • Ability to remain on feet for long periods of time
