Analyst, HRIS - Workday Reporting

How you'll make an impact:

  • Report Development: Design, develop, and maintain a variety of Workday reports, dashboards, and reporting tools, including but not limited to standard, custom, composite, and matrix reports, while adhering to business requirements and best practices.
  • Requirement Gathering: Translating users' requirements into actionable reports and dashboards, consulting possible usage of standard Workday reporting tools, and using knowledge in the area of reporting.
  • Report Optimization: Cooperate on reviews and enhancements of existing reports and dashboards for efficiency and accuracy, incorporating feedback from users.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Provide support to end-users for report-related inquiries, resolving issues, and offering training as needed to increase user self-sufficiency.
  • Testing and Validation: Conduct thorough testing of reports to verify accuracy and functionality, work with requestors, and prepare test scenarios to validate new and changed reports, troubleshooting and resolving any issues before deploying reports to production.
  • Reporting Activities: Delivering ad hoc and regular complex reports and dashboards with a focus on quality and timeliness, providing a solid understanding of the HR data model, and the ability to interconnect data from various data sources (Workday modules).
  • Documentation: Maintain documentation of report specifications, data sources, and report generation procedures for future reference while following and implementing improvements related to Reporting Guidelines.
  • Training and Support: Cooperate on the design of training materials in the area of reporting and train end-users on report usage and best practices. Provide ongoing support and address any reporting-related inquiries.
  • Project Management: Cooperate on reporting and data governance projects.
  • Data Integrity: Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reports. Perform regular audits and troubleshoot any discrepancies between delivered metrics and their definitions.

What you'll need (required):

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, IT, Computer Science, or other related field and 3 years of experience.
  • 2 years experience with Workday, specifically in report writing and data analysis.
  • Understanding of HR processes, data structures, and HR Tech best practices.

What else we look for (preferred):

  • Proficiency in Workday Report Writer tools and Workday calculated fields
  • Knowledge of the Workday object-oriented data model, data sources, primary business objects, and creating/maintaining calculated fields
  • Experience creating Custom Reports and Dashboards.
  • Business analysis with the ability to translate technical concepts into user-friendly language.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and produce meaningful insights.
  • Detail-oriented and excellent organization skills
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
  • Continuous learning mindset, keeping up-to-date with industry trends and technology advancements.

For California, the base pay range for this position is $70,000 to $100,000 (highly experienced).
