Our SCM Center of Excellence in Santo Domingo is currently seeking a Senior Operational Buyer COE. We're looking for talented professionals who are passionate about supply chain, innovation, and operational excellence to join our dynamic team.
What you'll do:
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Positioning and ensure adequate inventory levels of materials under its responsibility by implementing correct actions or MRP exception messages and strategies of application materials so that production needs are met in the quantities and required dates.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Monitor and control inventory levels of materials, using the available reports and applications in the AS400-MAPICS system.

2. Timely and properly execute the MRP exception messages (cancel, defer, place new orders, etc ...) to ensure availability of inventory of material requirements and compliance with the inventory reduction plans.
3. Review and update all the parameters or fields of procurement in the system (lead times, MOQ, MPQ, etc ...), as needed.
4. Monitor, control and manage receipts, shipments and inventory levels of materials belonging to the commodity.
5. Coordinate and / or providing support on projects to reduce costs, optimize logistics processes, operations processes, projects Materials / Supply Chain from the objectives of the company.
6. Analyze monthly reports of inventory levels of the plant, both in costs as production days. Weekly inventory analysis based on ABC.
7. Monitor and track the metrics of key business indicators (SRM-Supplier Relationship Management), such as on-time delivery (OTD), quality (PPM), price stability, flexibility and service.
8. Management claims to suppliers to faulty materials. Meet all assigned according to training schedules.
9. Provide direct support with the accounting department for physical inventory process.
10. Give support to other areas (quality, production, planning, finance, customer service, engineering, etc ...) as may be required.
11. Support the introduction of new products and designs in production lines, as well as transfers of existing products.
Responsibilities related to Health, Safety and Environment (EHS):
1. Execute 100% of monthly safety inspection, in coordination with the MESH Coordinator.
2. Assist to all EHS training assigned
Qualifications:
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:
1. Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or similar careers.
2. Minimum 3 years of experience in similar areas.
3. Bilingual (English/Spanish).
4. PC knowledge, Microsoft Office, AS400, Windows, Access, ERP/MRP.
5. Capacity and ability to work under pressure and prioritize.

Principal Accountabilities:
