Zillow is seeking a data-driven, detail-oriented analyst with strong business acumen and a passion for operational excellence to join our Sales Operations - Sales Planning & Compensation team. In this role, you'll serve as a critical partner in enabling data-informed decisions across the sales organization, from frontline teams to executive leadership. You'll design and maintain scalable, version-controlled datasets using GitLab, apply rigorous data validation practices, and build intuitive dashboards that bring sales performance and compensation insights to life.
Your work will span core initiatives such as headcount and capacity planning, quota and target deployment, performance and ROI analysis, and compensation effectiveness tracking. This includes branching, merge request workflows, and automated CI/CD validation. You'll also implement robust data validation pipelines to ensure quality across the entire reporting stack.
- Analytics & Storytelling: Leverage advanced SQL skills to transform raw data into analytical datasets that power business decisions. Your Tableau dashboards will be used by both frontline sellers and senior leadership-blending clear design with compelling data narratives. You'll also enable other analysts by creating self-service, reusable data assets.
- Sales Planning & Performance: Support quota and target deployment, sales capacity modeling, and ROI/Cost-of-Sales analysis. Your reporting will provide both operational and strategic insights, helping identify drivers of performance and areas for optimization.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Finance, HR, and Recruiting teams to translate business questions into analytical solutions. You'll take complex data findings and distill them into crisp, actionable recommendations-tailored for audiences ranging from Account Executives to C-suite executives. Beyond reporting, you'll play a key role in establishing data governance standards, supporting peer analysts, and evangelizing best practices in SQL, Tableau, and GitLab-based workflows.
