Eaton's Power Components Division is currently seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer. This is an on-site position based at our El Paso, TX location.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $83250.0 - $122100.0 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer leads projects to improve manufacturing methods, processes, and systems by leveraging current capabilities and emerging technologies. This role focuses on process development, validation, and continuous improvement through RIEs, while managing capital projects, automation initiatives, and equipment procurement. Responsibilities also include capacity analysis, vendor selection, and documentation development, all aimed at reducing waste, cost, and inefficiencies while enhancing standards and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and improve manufacturing methods, processes, and layouts to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Plan and execute strategic capital projects, including automation and equipment procurement.
  • Conduct capacity studies, equipment selection, and vendor evaluations.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation (JSA, Standard Work, Visual Aids, MILs).
  • Support operator training and certification programs.
  • Implement Lean tools and lead Kaizen/RIE events to drive continuous improvement.
  • Analyze processes using Six Sigma tools to identify and implement improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards through inspections and collaboration with MESH.
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to support production.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize welding and assembly processes.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering from an accredited institution
  • Experience with Lean tools, capacity analysis, manning process, cost savings and capital projects
  • Capital management experience
  • Experience in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
  • Experience in spot-welding

Skills:

  • EnglishSpanish with good oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
