What you'll do:
Key Job Objectives
- To support the Finance Team:
- Month end and financial reporting
- Finance review meeting reporting
- Wider Leadership Team reporting
Other Duties:
- Month end close and reporting duties to include but not limited to key responsibilities below
- Analyses
- Journal preparation
- General Ledger Reconciliations
- Coordinating weekly reporting requirements for business unit
- BU monthly reporting
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Support to budget and forecast presentations
- R&D tax calculation
- Monthly preparation and submission of VAT return
- Preparation of Eurofighter VOP calculation
- Support to Operations Finance Lead, including standard costs, job card variance investigation, and inventory held at suppliers
- Ad hoc support to the Finance leadership team

Qualifications:
- Preferable but not essential:
- Graduate - preferably in a related subject area
Skills:
- Numerate, logical and able to express yourself clearly in figures , verbal and written presentations
- Able to work to strict deadlines whilst maintaining a high degree of accuracy
- A confident communicator, able to work effectively at all levels of the organisation
- Able to display the gravitas to operate and influence at a senior level
- Further competencies will be provided via the competency matrix, and linked to the relevant job level
- Part qualified accountant, AAT, CIMA, or ACCA, able & willing to complete study under a training programme
