The expected annual salary range for this role is $67500.0 - $99000.0 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:
This individual's prime initial responsibilities will involve the resolution of production product design problems and field return design problems on sustaining (current production) fuel component designs. Typical products include main engine feed and airframe pumps for military and commercial aerospace applications. This role will report to the Post Development Support Engineering Manager. Additional responsibilities will also include support of Quality and Reliability with the creation of Product Investigation Plans (PIP) of fielded pumps.
In this function you will:
- Coordinate timely and cost-effective responses to technical inquiries from Customers and end users for products in service, including investigations to establish root cause of reported problems.
- Define required work tasks for support personnel and prepares clear and concise reports documenting conclusions and recommended corrective actions. In conjunction, works with Supply Chain, Customer Service and Quality to define Product Improvement changes which can drive aftermarket and cost-out opportunities.
- Interface with Customers and internal functions (Test Lab, Production and MRO) to review fielded fuel pumps.
- Report technical program metrics in accordance with Eaton Aerospace Common Engineering Standards.
- Provide Manufacturing Cell support as assigned by Engineering Management to ensure timely disposition of non-conforming hardware without sacrificing final product quality that could lead to operational deficiencies in the field.
- Utilizes the principles of Design for Six Sigma.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
- Relocation is not offered for this role. Candidates must reside within a 50 mile radius of Euclid, Ohio to be considered. Active Duty military are exempt from the geographical requirement
- This position requires the use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the international Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be US persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a US Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Desired 6 month to 2 years Aerospace or Automotive Industry Experience (Co-op or Intern experience is applicable)
- Six Sigma (DMAIC) or Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) certification
Position Criteria:
- Ability to understand complex technical issues
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to read and understand Drawings, Specifications and Requirements
- Strong hands-on skills in working with disassembly and assembly of mechanical components
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
