Eaton's GEIS division is currently seeking a Plant Manager. This posistion is based out of our Roanoke, VA facility which is an Assembly Operation and Distribution Center. Relocation within the United States is provided for this role.

This is a non-union facility with approximately 250 employees. Reporting to the Director of Operations for GEIS Crouse-Hinds business, the incumbent will be responsible for driving the operational strategy for the Roanoke Plant, including profit & loss, growth strategy and organizational direction to meet and exceed short and long-term business goals.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $141000.03 - $206800.04 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you'll do:

In this role you will:

  • Sets overall plant policies and procedures to ensure effective operations consistent with the Eaton Business System, Values and Philosophy.
  • Ensures the plant complies with all safety regulations and standards.
  • Coordinates and directs through managers, all functions of facility operations, including but not limited to Manufacturing, Mfg. Engineering, Safety, Quality, Supply Chain, OpEx, Human Resources and Finance.
  • Tracks and analyzes key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Leads and Optimizes all Distribution activities, ensuring seamless execution of receiving, storing, and shipping products to achieve operational targets
  • Aligns operational objectives with the overall business objectives to ensure a strategy-focused workforce.
  • Emphasize utilization of Lean/Six Sigma manufacturing tools (Kaizen, VSM, 5S+) to lead cost improvement analysis and implement actionable, measurable plans
  • Directs and mentors the plant leadership team in the performance of their respective roles and consistent with the Eaton Leadership model.
  • Fosters an environment which promotes Eaton's goals, encourages continuous improvement, and builds customer relationships.
  • Drives compliance to the ethics policy and holds others accountable for ethical conduct.
  • Develops controls and critically reviews results of operation in reference to planned objectives.
  • Accountable for the day-to-day decisions that directly impact the safety, quality, on-time delivery, efficiency, and profitability of the overall plant.
  • Maintains a workforce of highly motivated employees with a morale that is conducive to high levels of employee engagement.
  • Attracts, selects, develops, trains, coaches, appraises and motivates managers and other personnel for key staff positions and the facility.
  • Assures timely and relevant communications to and from all levels. This includes assuring communications between affected reporting areas and to related departments.

Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience with progressive levels of accountability and responsibility in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, OPEX and/or related support functions in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of manufacturing leadership experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical degree
  • MS or MBA degree
  • Continuous Improvement, Lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma experience.
