What you'll do:

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to work within an Integrated Product Team (IPT). This position is required to actively support the plants goals by deploying skills in the areas of Manufacturing Engineering, that will lead to sustained improvements in performance within the stranger product IPT. As part of the Aftermarket value stream strategy, works within the IPT to drive sales and profitability, by supporting the improvement of the stranger management and stranger manufacturing engineering processes.

• Supports the Identification and categorisation of parts and RFQs to determine quick wins verses longer term resource intensive opportunities. Uses this data with the wider IPT to target the most optimal opportunities in terms of risk, resource, schedule, sales, and profit.
• Acts upon task instructions from the IPT Lead and proactively ensures timely completion to meet its goals and customer requirements.
• Provide metrics and data to support performance of role as it relates to the strangers Integrated Product Team
• Works with engineering operations and SCM team to identify if a part should be manufactured internally or sub-contracted to the supply chain.
• Ensures required documentation and/or system transactions are executed to meet customer, manufacturing system requirements.
• Assures policies, procedures, and other documentation are followed to ensure consistent and compliant manufactured product.
• Provides commitment in support of continuing improvements in quality, productivity, and delivery performance.
• Supports product design organization through stranger product introduction phase to ensure customer manufacturing delivery times are met
• Prioritizes safety in all aspects of manufacturing and process design. Assures that Environmental, Health, and Safety issues are addressed considering local regulations, Eaton policy, and good corporate citizenship
• Supports operational tier reviews within the IPT and Aftermarket Value Stream.

Skills:

• Experience in manufacturing principles - PFMEA, PPAP, lean manufacturing (6 Sigma), value stream mapping, process flow, Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA), Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) creation.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve production issues quickly and effectively.
• Implementation of NPI projects, experience with supply chain support, Continuous Improvement / process improvements, experience with additive manufacturing.
• BOM (Bill Of Materials) and Routing audits, knowledge of Laser Part Marking procedures, understanding of Engineering drawings.
• Familiar with FAA, EASA, and other aerospace regulatory bodies.

Skills:
• Knowledge of laser part marking technology
• Knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements and order generation process logic
• A general understanding of aerospace-grade materials like titanium, composites, and aluminium alloys as well as treatment processes.
• A proficient level of understanding of manufacturing process and techniques including machining, additive manufacturing, welding, and assembly techniques specific to aerospace.
• Familiarity with AS9100 standards, Six Sigma, and statistical process control (SPC).
• Knowledge of automated systems and robotics used in modern aerospace manufacturing.
• Strong attention to detail in maintaining technical documentation and compliance records.
• Capable of managing timelines, budgets, and cross-functional teams.
• Works well with design engineers, quality teams, and production staff.
• Able to clearly convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with tight tolerances and high safety standards.
