What you'll do:

The Lead Front-End Developer is responsible for driving the technical success of the Brightlayer UI design system, a platform for accelerating software development and maintaining consistency between software products at Eaton. The candidate will lead by example in identifying and executing on platform goals, maintaining and improving existing development resources, developing new resources, working with fellow team members to guide their growth/development, and ensuring that work is of the highest quality and provides the best possible user experience for teams who use the platform.

• Work closely with Business Leaders, Project Managers, Product Teams, and other stakeholders to define, capture, and prioritize platform requirements
• Provide high-quality feedback to developers, designers, testers, and other team members through detailed code reviews, pair-programming, mentoriing, etc.
• Develop production-quality, re-usable components, workflows, and code examples across a variety of front-end technologies
• Develop internal and external tools to improve team productivity and standardization
• Champion automation efforts to reduce overhead and unnecessary effort through the maturation of CI/CD pipelines
• Write unit and functional tests to evaluate and maintain the quality of all platform code
• Write clear and informative documentation for the platform and its resources
• Contribute to open-source libraries
• Support product development teams by answering questions, troubleshooting issues, soliciting enhancement requests, communicating platform updates, and serving as the technical point of contact for all things Brightlayer UI.
• Stay current with latest trends and best-practices by conducting researching and exploring upcoming technology developments.
• Feed your personal growth and development by exploring topics of interest that could improve platform efficiency, quality, or value.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering
"- 5+ years in JavaScript development
- 3+ years in TypeScript
- 3+ years in ReactJS / React Native
- 3+ years in HTML/CSS, ES6, and responsive web development"

Skills:

"- Proficient with Javascript & its frameworks
- Proficient with Agile concepts
- Knowledge of development of mobile applications is an advantage
- Knowledge of Material Design and its open-source implementations
- Proven experience to develop and design high quality solutions on deadline"
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Teamwork, communication, mentoring, and strong interpersonal skills across cultural and organizational boundaries.
