Overview

The Bank of New York Mellon seeks a Lead, Front-End Developer in Pittsburgh, PA to use existing and emerging technology platforms to design, develop and document technically detailed applications. Requirements: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Two (2) years of experience must include: Reviewing the configuration and security settings within the databases of financial systems and applications using Oracle as database and Windows and UNIX as operating system platforms; Utilizing object-oriented programming (OOP) with Java and Python to validate configurations within financial systems and applications; Applying concepts of AngularJS and Typescript including RxJS, Static Typing, and Type Reference for the development of User Interfaces for web applications and using Chai/Mocha.js frameworks to write unit tests for the application code; Deploying applications onto the application server using Maven and deployment pipelines, including GIT and Bitbucket pipelines; Creating a test plan to ensure end-to-end integration testing and developing, and executing test cases with each release cycle to maintain the quality of applications; Ensuring code quality, maintainability and compliance through code reviews and tools using GIT and SonarQube; and Participating in Agile methodology principles including responding to change over following a plan, working software over comprehensive documentation, and using tools including JIRA to successfully implement those principles.
