Eaton's ES AMER NAS division is currently seeking a Human Resources Intern.

The hourly rate for this position is $19.38 - $ 24.23 per hour.

What you'll do:

Position Overview:

This position is responsible for providing HR and administrative support to Vice President, Human Resources North American Sales (NAS)/Marketing & Commercial Operations (MCO) HR and other members of the NAS/MCO HR Team. This person will act as administrator for performing general and complex administrative duties and HR support utilizing previous experience, strong problem-solving ability, balanced judgment, communication skills, sensitivity and discretion.

In this function, you will:

During the 12-week paid internship, students will work on projects that have a measurable impact on our business while being coached and mentored by Eaton HR professionals. This internship in Human Resources is designed to provide the foundation to early career HR professionals, through fast-paced, real world, hands-on HR Generalist experience leading projects in areas such as:

What you will do in this role:

  • Provide recruitment support by assisting with requisition creation, interview scheduling, travel arrangements, submitting interview notes into HRS, offer letter creation, etc.
  • Support various HR initiatives and deployments (EE survey, performance development, compensation planning, etc.)
  • Provide professional communication support with high sense of urgency and flexibility in interacting with many internal stakeholders as well as external clients, customers and other contacts
  • Provide administrative and technology support effectively utilizing Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint)
  • Provide day to day support to HR team by entering tickets and following up with HRS on job changes, market adjustments, activity center changes, etc.
  • Create monthly and ad hoc reports using HRIS software for HR VP, HR team, senior leadership team and other business functions
  • Prepare presentations, coordinate and schedule cross-functional meetings such as team/staff meetings, OCA meetings, HR metric reviews, operating reviews, etc.
  • May answer or direct managers and employees on various inquiries to ensure they are supplied with the appropriate resources to resolve questions (HRS, ER, Fidelity, etc.)
  • Lead coordination of field admins on corporate and NAS/MCO communications or initiatives
  • Support local community involvement events (Stover, United Way, Collections, etc.)

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• Actively enrolled in a master's or undergraduate degree with a focus in human resources from an accredited institution
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• Relocation is not provided for this role, the candidate must be located within 50 miles of Moon Township, PA
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher (please don't round).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant work experience and/or HR internship experience
• Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or the community

• Highly skilled communicator, strong analytical and presentation skills
• Ability to execute with minimal direction and prepared to navigate change with patience, optimism, and poise
