Eaton's EPG LAC Latin AmericaCaribbean Division division is currently seeking a Ingeniero (a) de Calidad.

What you'll do:

Job Summary
Responsible for Ensure the quality of products manufactured in the plant, implementing and maintaining quality procedures based on Eaton Electrical and division instructions that comply with Industry requirements and Eaton Business System practices . Interfaces with and supports internal and external customers. Internally leads process improvement teams utilizing corrective actions using A3 and 8D methodology. As a member of the Quality Assurance team, QE supports deployment of Eaton Quality Manager System (EQMS) as a Policy Expert, and serves as an Internal Auditor for ISO 9001

Job Responsibilities
A. Perform the assigned inspections according to the drawings and specifications of the equipment through the application of the test protocols.
B. Complete Process Flow diagrams, pFMEAs, standard work (OPS) , and Control Plans.
C. Complete 8Ds and A3s, and perform data analysis on problem areas to solve problems reviewing inputs from various stakeholders and makes recommendations accordingly
D. Gage R&R, and runoff criteria as needed for new or existing equipment and processes.
E. Manage APQP and PPAP documents/process.
F. Complete process audits, initiate corrective actions, lead cost save/variation reduction projects, and other tasks as required.
G. Train and coach fellow employees on quality principles, standards, internal & external requirements
H. Lead and / or support cost out project initiatives to closure such as VA/VEs /Kaizen/corrective actions/Non conform product NCP
I. Evaluates 8Ds completed by fellow QEs for effectiveness.
J. Investigates / troubleshoots problems and requirements of projects/warranties and develops plans for solutions.

Qualifications:

Education level required / Nivel educativo requerido

• Electrical or electromechanical engineer, with 2-3 years of experience in quality control in production environments.
• Lead auditor ISO 9000

Years and area of experience / Años y área de experiencia requerida

• Minimum experience of three years in similar positions, preferably in industrial electrical installations
• 2-year experience in Quality Control and Management System (ISO 9001)

Technical knowledge / Conocimientos técnicos

• Use of tools that are included in Yellow/Greenbelt/Black belt training, process mapping, capability analysis, control plans, cost of poor quality, defects per million, design of experiments, gauge accuracy, repeatability and reproducibility, histograms, multi-variance analysis, normal distribution, probability, six sigma, standard deviation, statistical control, customer interface, , internal auditing (ISO 9001), and variation reduction (Quality and Core Tools)
• Excellent verbal/oral/written communications (Spanish) / Advanced English
• High use of technological tools (PI, statistical analysis, SPC, excel etc)

Preferred Knowledge:

- PFMEA
- Minitab
- Prolaunch
- EQMS
- SAP (Quality Module)
