Job Summary
A key member of the plant leadership team and region/division finance team, reporting directly to the Plant Controller. This position has direct leadership responsibility for ensuring financial accounting activities at the location are in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, local statutory requirements and Eaton Corporate policies and practice. The major role of the GTM is to ensure temporary inventory to fulfill with all Mexican Customs regulations for the site. This position is also responsible for maintaining and updating compliance regulatory requirements and procedures, to monitor all the obligations to maintain certifications such as OEA, IVA, IEPS, etc, as well reporting metrics or KPIs of their operation in charge.

Job Responsibilities
A. Be Responsible for the temporary inventory management of MX sites in charge. (Appendix 24 & 31).
B. Ensure the data integrity of Trade Compliance Processes Inventory Reconciliation between Appendix 24 and ERP (SAP), including: cycle counts, receiving discrepancies, Inventory adjustments, company losses, Perpetual Inventories, company Sales.
C. Communicates and manages relevant changes of customs legislation, to ensure the proper use.
D. Manages internal and/or external audits of trade compliance.
E. Give, counseling, guidance or direction to the stakeholders for any question, problem or need related to trade compliance.
F. Manage the electronic and hard copy records for the Customs Operations performed in Mexico such as Pediments, reports of Annex 31, Annex 24, Art. 36 Mexican customs legislation
G. Create awareness in the departments related to anticipate any breach of the law.
H. Oversee inventory reconciliation of Fixed Assets vs Import Records (Open Balance).
I. Have in compliance with reporting management (Annual IMMEX report, Annual Prosec report, INEGI report, GTM Mexico monthly report)
J. Maintain in optimum level the certifications in trade compliance of the site in charge (OEA, IVAI,EPS, etc)."
Qualifications:
Education level required
- Bachelor's degree in Trade Compliance, International business and/or Customs Law, finance or similar
Years and area of experience required
- 5-8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, managing special trade programs with cost accounting is a plus
Technical knowledge
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, specially spreadsheet software packages Excel, Sound working knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley and local statutory requirements, Understanding of global business issues, including foreign currency impacts, effective hedging protocols and local customs and duty requirements, SAP broad knowledge and ability, Oracle manufacturing knowledge a plus.
