Government Accounting Compliance Supervisor
Eaton's AER Aerospace division is currently seeking a Government Accounting Compliance Supervisor. This position will be located at our Grand Rapids, MI, Galesburg, MI, or Beachwood, OH facility.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $93750.03 - $137500.04 a year.

What you'll do:
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Under limited supervision, Government Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for leading following processes:
Managing compliance to Title 2 Code of Federal Regulations related to Department of Energy and Department of Defense cost-share grants and cost type contracts. Responsible for preparing Provisional Billing Rates, Incurred Cost Submissions, and compliant government billings for cost type contracts and grants. Responsible for maintaining compliant procedures and implementing compliance training. Responsible for compliance assessment of the engineering timekeeping systems.
Additionally, this role involves developing forward pricing rates, managing and supporting internal and external DCAA and DCMA audits related to accounting systems, CAS, and other compliance areas as needed. The supervisor will also be responsible for supporting CAS Disclosure Statements, conducting compliance self-assessments, and assisting management with closing gaps through the development and implementation of corrective action plans. The role includes providing compliance training on government accounting-related requirements to Eaton Aerospace employees and leading or participating in special cross-functional process improvement and internal compliance assessment projects.
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Preparing Provisional Billing Rates and Incurred Cost Submission for Mobility Group and other sites performing on cost-type contracts with US Government.
- Manage billing and reporting processes for cost plus type contracts and cost share grants.
- Work closely with accounting and pricing staff to ensure that PBRs, FPRs and ICS proposals and contract proposals utilize current, accurate and complete cost or pricing data.
- Monitor cost allowability and ensure that unallowable costs properly identified, segregated and removed form claimed costs in the FPRP, PBR, ICS proposals and billings.
- Perform internal compliance monitoring and assessments of the site's ENG Time Keeping and Accounting systems.
- Support delivering compliance training programs to employees from various functions to assure that company personnel have the job knowledge to fulfill obligations imposed by U.S. Government Contract accounting and business system requirements.
- Assist management with maintaining established site level adequate accounting practices, procedures, work instructions, related internal controls, and ensure compliance with applicable Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS), US Government Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and other Business Systems requirements.
- Support the establishment and maintenance of US Government Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) Disclosure Statements and assist management with cost impact analysis when needed.
- Perform detail cost trend analysis and reconciliation of the claimed costs to official books of records.
- Manage and support government DCAA and DCMA audits and inquiry matters. Maintain effective records to support Government audits.
- Assist management with development and implementation of the new ERPs, financial and indirect rate development processes.

Qualifications:
- BA or BS degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Minimum of 5 years of Accounting/Finance experience.
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area (50 miles) of our Beachwood, OH - Galesburg, MI - Grand Rapids, MI facility will be considered

- This position requires access to export-controlled information. Preferred Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work independently within a matrixed organizational structure with a minimal level of supervision.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and concepts.
Proficient level of data analysis and accounting reconciliation skills.
Good understanding of fundamental requirements of FAR Part 30 &31, CAS 401,402, 405, 406, 418, 410 and 420.
Actual working experience with government contract billings, forward pricing bid rate/pricing and ICS proposal development for the sites with manufacturing and Engineering R&D contracts.
Working knowledge of advanced accounting and ERP systems (SAP and Oracle preferred).
Advanced proficiency with MS Office Applications.
Advanced MS Excel skills (run macros, pivot tables, V lookups, perform calculations and automation to process large volumes of data).
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to details.
