Eaton's IS AER ITD division is currently seeking a Expeditor.

The hourly rate for this position is $20.00 per hour. The hours for first shift is as follows; 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.

Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you'll do:

Position Overview:
The Expeditor position is responsible for the requisition of materials within the plant as scheduled to maintain a master schedule for the assigned departments. The position is responsible for revisions, corrections, deletions, and additions to work orders and drawings and will provide status of work in process to planners and supervisors. This role will require most of the time spent on the shop floor, verifying material is in department, verifying work in progress at machines, and making changes to machine ques as needed by supervisors or planners. This position will work with SAP to research current availability of raw materials and making requisitions of material from warehouse or other plant locations.

In this role, you will:

  • Assemble and distribute production shop packets to the machine cells in assigned department.
  • Compute amount of material required to complete production orders.
  • Create requisitions for material and coordinate delivery of material to departments.
  • Examine material delivered to production departments to verify conformance to specifications/requested qty.
  • Maintain cycle counts of assigned department and provides accurate reporting to production and materials team for action.
  • Assist in the development and monitoring of machine schedules for all products/parts in specified department.
  • Work closely with all functional areas as necessary to ensure that the production plan fulfills customer requirements with the appropriate balance of throughput and inventory requirements.
  • Communicate with shop floor leads to find movement of hot jobs onto other machining centers when machines are down, or production is backlogged.
  • Ensure packets or reprints of drawings are issued to the shop floor employees.
  • Escalate issues as necessary to operations management and quality to ensure adherence to production plan in support of achieving/driving results.
  • Detect critical needs and advise planners, supervisors, and quality as needed

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship both now and in the future.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
  • Strong computer skills
  • Some administrative skills
  • Some experience with Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree from an accredited institution
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically Excel
  • SAP-ERP Knowledge
  • Effective communication
