Business Development Manager - DC Power

The Power Quality (PQ) division at Eaton Electrical provides power management solutions including AC/DC uninterruptable power supplies (UPS's), surge protective devices, power distribution units (PDU's), remote monitoring, software, power factor correction, airflow management, rack enclosures and services.

We strive for continued success in leveraging technical innovation to develop next-generation outdoor cabinet and DC power solutions for the Industrial (Mining, Oil and Gas, Rail, Power Utilities) and Telecom segments. We also design and engineer innovative off grid solar solutions to power connectivity where there is no power.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to grow our Australian business in the Industrial and Telecom segments by promoting and selling our range of cabinets and DC Power solutions.

Key Duties:

  • Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve sales targets and expand our market presence in the Industrial and Telecom sector.
  • Work closely with internal Engineering teams to assist development of new products to meet customer needs
  • Prepare tenders for products to secure key RFP's.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry influencers.
  • Present and demonstrate our products to potential clients, highlighting their benefits and unique features.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify threats and opportunities.
  • Provide regular updates to the team and via Salesforce on business development activities, progress, and outcomes.
  • Attend industry events and conferences to represent the company and build professional networks.

Qualifications:

  • Electrical Engineering Qualifications preferred - either trade qualification or degree.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the electrical industry.
  • Strong understanding of DC Power solutions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
  • Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
