The Information Technology group delivers secure, reliable technology solutions that enable DTCC to be the trusted infrastructure of the global capital markets. The team delivers high-quality information through activities that include development of essential, building infrastructure capabilities to meet client needs and implementing data standards and governance.

- DTCC offers a flexible/hybrid model of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote (onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays and a third day unique to each team or employee).
The impact you will have in this role:
The Development family is responsible for creating, designing, deploying, and supporting applications, programs, and software solutions. This may include research, new development, prototyping, modification, reuse, re-engineering, maintenance, or any other activities related to software products used internally or externally on product platforms supported by the firm. The software development process requires in-depth subject matter expertise in existing and emerging development methodologies, tools, and programming languages. The Associate Director will drive the development and implementation of quantitative models and algorithms that are critical for informed decision-making and risk management. In addition, the Quant Developer Associate Director will be responsible for building efficiency, reliability, and security of financial systems by enabling rapid adaptation to evolving market conditions and new data insights, proposing and recommending solutions that solve complex business problems.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
- Extracting, cleaning, and transforming financial data from various sources
- Developing data pipelines for efficient data acquisition and processing
- Performing statistical analysis and machine learning to extract insights from data
- Developing and implementing quantitative models and algorithms using programming languages like Python
- Translating theoretical models from quantitative researchers into practical, executable code
- Building and maintaining the infrastructure to support model development, including APIs and data pipelines
- Conducting thorough back testing and validation of models to ensure accuracy and reliability
- Optimizing model performance for speed and efficiency, and adaptability to changing market conditions and new data insights
- Ensuring the scalability and security of models and the systems they are integrated with
- Working closely with quantitative analysts, and other IT teams to understand requirements and integrate models into IT systems
- Effectively communicating technical information and model performance results to various stakeholders

Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent experience
- Strong proficiency in programming languages like Python, R
- Experience with AWS cloud services
- Advanced SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases (Snowflake, Oracle)
Talents Needed for Success:
- Strong data analytical skills to analyze large datasets, identify patterns, trends, and anomalies that can inform model development and decision-making
- A solid understanding of capital markets, instruments and financial risk
- Knowledge of statistical modeling, machine learning, and mathematical finance is necessary
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams and to communicate their findings and model behavior to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
