Then come join the Core Technology Architecture team in Dolby's Entertainment organization to create spectacular experiences for consumers in every home. As a member of the team, you will be working on architecture and strategy for Dolby's imaging technologies.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • You will maintain the existing technical architectures and components to support deployed imaging technologies across all ecosystems and in all device categories (PC, Mobile, Living Room, Automotive, etc).
  • You are expected to define, develop and orchestrate new technical architectures to support the strategic imaging technology innovation pipeline across all ecosystems and in all device categories.
  • Your responsibilities include working with research to develop proof-of-concepts and build test-benches to evaluate emerging imaging technologies with respect to use cases and requirements aligned with core technology imaging roadmaps.
  • You will maintain industry alignment on next-generation imaging codec development by customers and standards bodies. Providing thought leadership on imaging technology that will be critical to Dolby business in a 5-year time frame.
  • Delivering technical leadership to project managers and engineering teams to drive development and delivery of vision technology, will be an essential part of this role.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum 10+ years of work experience.
  • Relevant bachelor's degree. (EE / CS / etc.).
  • Research qualifications (master's degree or PhD) a bonus
  • Experience with Dolby Vision or other high dynamic range technologies and the codecs which deliver them.
  • Experience with video coding and image signal processing.
  • Knowledge of OTT playback systems and players.
  • Working knowledge of web and broadcast content delivery ecosystems.
  • Working knowledge of developing in C/C++ or Python.

The San Francisco/Bay Area base salary range for this full-time position is $201,800 - $246,500, which can vary if outside this location,plus bonus, benefits, and some roles may also include equity. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, competencies, experience, market demands, internal parity, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range and perks and benefits for your location during the hiring process.
