Summary
As the Infromation Security GRC intern, you will have the opportunity to deliver solutions solving security problems, create meaningful deliverables to the Dolby Security Team, and to learn about the technology industry and the information security practice.
The Security GRC intern works closely with the information security team to execute its Security GRC strategy. Security GRC is a unique practice because of its "business facing" role. As such, not only technical skills are important to this role but communication and interpersonal skills are required to be a successful Security GRC intern. The intern will help build the GRC program by constructing capabilities to address security risks, measure compliance with security policies, and deliver solutions to drive business goals. The security intern will report to the Security and Compliance GRC Senior Manager and will interface with different Dolby teams within Information Technology, Business, Engineering, etc.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Works with information security leadership to develop strategies and solutions to mature the Security GRC practice and improve the security risk posture of the company.
- Create, develop, and maintain Dolby's GRC application such as developing/programming workflows, integrations, and automations.
- Assist in the management and execution of deliverables required by Internal and External Audit teams.
- Assists in the coordination and completion of Security GRC operations documentation.
- Works with Dolby's IT department and members of the information security team to identify, select and implement technical controls.
- Create and maintain reports (including Dashboards).
- Assists other members of the IT Security Team on mission critical tasks.
- Completed Coursework on Information Systems/Computer Science/Computer Engineering. Candidate must be technically inclined and have a strong foundational understanding of computer systems, networking, and Internet. Completion of Cybersecurity courses, and/or ERP applications (i.e. SAP) is a plus.
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills; Candidate must be comfortable interfacing with various people and business groups.
- Strong foundational skills on Excel, SQL, Scripting Languages (i.e. Python).
- Interest in creating internal technical documentations such as policies, procedures, architectural designs, project plans, etc.
- Familiarity with network concepts, internet/web, and business applications (such as ERP software, SaaS solutions).
- Familiarity with programming languages and databases.
- Foundational knowledge of Cloud Computing.
Eligibility
Working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in cybersecurity or a related field; recent grads who are within 6 months of graduation are also eligible to apply. Must be available to work full-time Monday - Friday for 3 months between September 2025 - December 2025.
