What You'll Do
Portfolio Marketing team is looking for a Principal Portfolio Management candidate who is a self-starter, data driven, lives & breathes all aspects of marketing strategy and execution.

This candidate is responsible for identifying marketing opportunities to drive cardmember portfolio engagement, owns marketing roadmap & calendar, is an expert in campaign execution with attention to details and takes a customer centric approach to marketing. This candidate will manage end to end campaign management, set up test & learn framework, align targeting, customer communication, offer, channel, and performance expectations, as well as identifying high value use cases to drive future growth. Working with cross-functional stakeholders, this candidate will drive cardmember engagement for Discover card products and credit actions programs including marketing strategies, customer communication, support merger integration, performance, and roadmap development. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role of management.
How You'll Do It
- Identifies, develops, or evaluates marketing strategy to identify new or optimization opportunities, based on knowledge of objectives, market trends, customer needs, historical results, and channel specific expertise.
- Develop campaign strategy, audience targeting, test & learn agenda, creative assets, execute campaign collaborating with cross functional partners e.g., analytics, credit risk, compliance, legal, finance, other lines of business etc.
- Manage campaign calendar or roadmap, develop scorecard, and manage key performance indicators against annual goals. Communicates performance updates to management.
- Manages campaign budgets across numerous simultaneous efforts, most measured in multiple millions of dollars.
- Acts as a coach and mentor to junior team members and business partners, helping to develop new talent and share subject matter expertise.
- Timely and accurate completion, maintenance, and communication of assigned Business Risk review (including monitors and audits). Establishes, and adheres to, strong controls to ensure accuracy and strategy deployment.
Qualifications You'll Need
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Marketing
- Bachelor's Business Administration and Management
- 4+ years Marketing, Business, Partnership Mgmt, Brand Mgmt, consumer packaged goods, creative agency, or related experience
In Lieu of Education Experience
- 6+ years Campaign Management, strategy development, digital marketing, or related experience
Preferred Requirements
- Masters in marketing or MBA
- Campaign management, marketing strategy or digital marketing experience.
- Experience working in credit cards or financial services or regulated industry.

Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $91,000.00 to $153,400.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
