Role Context:
  • Facilitate Diageo's North America supply chain strategy to deliver Diageo's new and bold long-term growth ambitions.
  • Lead rigorous measurement and evaluation process for various supply chain solutions to deliver optimized route to market for the growth ambitions across Diageo's supply chain.
    • Programs to include new suppliers, internal investments across existing and new production facilities, introduction of new third party partnerships, or distribution centers.
  • Own and lead new product integration supply chain sourcing activities to determine where new products will be manufactured based on capability and end-to-end supply chain optimization.
    • Facilitate cross-functional sourcing evaluations with conversion, planning, procurement, TPO operations, technical and quality to ensure sourcing decisions are in line with broader business strategy.
  • Apply digitalization of data in partnership with Supply's Data Analytic manager to evaluation network utilization, cost, and capacity.
  • Support the Board of Director's Annual Strategy Conference preparation activities for NAM.
  • Participate in reoccurring business reviews as updated volumes and ambitions are set to understand total network utilization.
  • Lead cross functional workstreams and teams - working across supply (Procurement, Manufacturing, Technical, Planning and Logistics) and in partnership with the innovation, sales, and marketing teams.
  • Lead through the high level of complexity to implement a focused and clear plan:
    • Procurement - Ensure our sourcing strategy aligns with our supply chain footprint transformation to drive long term productivity and continuity.
    • Manufacturing - Navigate highly constrained environment while improving our continuity plans and growth ambitions.
      • Conduct full network capacity analysis.
      • Partner with the manufacturing team to investigate various filling capacity unlocks for internal sites and CapEx recommendations.
    • Planning and Logistics - Partner with team to develop an optimized route to market through introduction of new warehouses and connection with the manufacturing strategy to deliver the right product mixability to the right distribution points.
  • This role will support strategic supply chain programs including business proposal development and partner presentations.
  • Own and lead the NAM Supply board preparation and approval process.
  • This role oversees the NAM Supply NDA process to ensure appropriate confidentiality measures are in place on sensitive programs.
  • Apply analysis based on in-depth research and interpretive thinking. Evaluate and recommend solutions from various options to senior leadership team.
  • This role also supports the President of Supply as their Chief of Staff by leading upcoming executive meetings/visits, preparation, and execution of key content creation for various partners and executive members.
    • Partnership across executive teams' PAs to prioritize business critical updates that are time sensitive.
    • Participate in broader business initiatives as the point of contact for Supply, including results town halls and Supply highlights/metric refresh. This includes facilitating the Supply working group to pull together all cross functional inputs.
    • Support President of Supply's agenda setting, Supply leadership content, and craft taking points for all Supply and broader business town halls.
    • Provide regular updates to Supply leadership team on outlook of events and business critical meetings and decision deadlines.
    • Facilitate President of Supply's tier meeting(s) including pre-read distribution and management of weekly metric updates.


Financial Accountabilities:
  • Partner with Supply Finance to develop accurate business proposals for future investments including NPV analysis, Return-On-Investment, and the associated risk analysis.
  • Partner with Supply Finance to articulate end to end supply chain impacts based on sourcing priorities and strategies across NAM's network.

  • Can combine creativity with a strong supply and financial savviness to deliver breakthrough plans.
  • Strategic judgement and analytical rigor, with the ability to translate strategy into action.
  • Maintain a strong internal control and compliance environment consistent with the Diageo compliance policies.
  • Ability to influence, inspire, impact, and move at pace across a matrix organization including senior partners - creating outstanding teamwork and alignment.


Complexity of the Role:
  • This role requires experience with best-in-class supply chain analytics to challenge the team to think differently about the best way to grow quickly and efficiently all while leading appropriate level of risk management.
  • Strong influencing, communication, and presentation capabilities.
  • Experience in leading and inspiring teams.
  • Ability to operate in a dynamic environment with complex analysis and ambiguity.


Professional Experience & Qualifications:
  • 7+ plus years of cross functional supply experience (technical, manufacturing, or supply chain preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to run diverse teams and lead and influence partners across an organization.
  • Track record of performance delivery.
  • Excellent written, oral, presentation and communication skills.


Education:
  • Undergraduate Bachelor's degree at a minimum
  • MBA a plus
