About the role

We are delighted to share that we are looking for a Process Controller to join our Beer operations team in St James Gate. Our Beer category are made up of approximately 400 employees who are engaged in roles across St James's Gate, Belfast Packaging and Runcorn Packaging.

As a Process Controller, you will work as part of our core team responsible for delivering a range of tasks associated with operations within the manufacture of our products to the highest quality to agreed customer service levels, in a safe and efficient manner.

You will be required to continuously drive performance and improvement initiatives within the Keg Plant, operate 2 keg lines and related process plant which produces 6 million kegs annually consisting of 25 different beer types, 4 different keg sizes and 50 different SKU's.

Health and safety compliance is key, you'll be at the forefront of making sure this is supervised alongside environmental and food safety standards and ensuring Key Performance Indicators and targets are met.

Main duties within the role will be to:

  • Understand the functions, working of machines and perform autonomous maintenance tasks.
  • Manage and control all processes including operation of packaging machinery.
  • Carry out quality analyses relevant to the role, and ensure quality is right first time and all data input.
  • Apply Manufacturing Excellence tools and techniques.

Shifts

As a Process Controllers, you will work 35 hours per week, 2 x 12 hour day shifts (7am-7pm) followed by 2 x 12 hour night shifts (7pm-7am), followed by your rest days.

About you

We're looking for someone who can work well within a team as well as the ability to make effective decisions and thrive in situations where they can solve problems. Character is everything, we are looking to hear from people who are driven, resilient and open minded. Excellent interpersonal skills, organisation and leadership skills with a demonstrated history of operational excellence.

Be able to push forward your own ideas about improvements to current approaches and appraise new opportunities. Have the strive to make a positive difference to manufacturing excellence and show your excellent communication skills.

The ideal candidate will be a confident and an effective communicator, capable of fostering strong relationships at all organisational levels. Additionally, they should ideally hold hold a technical/craft or a minimum 3rd level qualification equivalent to Diploma level such as the IBD Brewing qualifications, or an equivalent FETAC level 6.
