ABOUT THE ROLE

This position will support the strategic planning and execution of all key initiatives to develop and grow Diageo's Rare portfolio sales and Private Client Business. She/he will be responsible for the client relation management, sales tool development, recruiting and building Diageo Korea's private client pool and sustaining close relations with the clients in a highly sophisticated manner. This requires the finest candidate that has existing strong and relevant experience in this segment. Reporting to Head of Luxury and Strategic Partnership Director, who covers Diageo Korea's trend Leading account in On and Off trades, Private Client Executive will work closely with Sr. Brand Ambassador who leads rare and high-aged whisky sessions designed to educate and entertain HNWIs regarding Diageo's rare portfolio at our private room, called "Prestige room". This role will play a key role in ensuring the success of rare business in Korea, by engaging and interacting HNWIs and top-level whisky collectors on an ongoing basis to achieve the sales target. Working flexible hours (evenings or weekends) is often needed to meet VIP client needs. Also, this role will work closely with Global Rare team to develop and execute strategies for VIP cultivation and engagement.

QUALFICIATION
  • University graduate or higher education level.
  • Five or more years of work experience in luxury high-end business or VIP-focused service sectors
  • Familiar with developing and executing personalized services
  • Proven experience managing or directly supporting VIP clients
  • Excellent, sophisticated communication and social skills are required.
  • Sales negotiation skills
  • An in-depth, working understanding of the HNWI community
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset-specifically, the drive and ability to help establish a Rare business presence in Korea.
  • Track record of fostering deep customer loyalty, and delivering personalized service.
  • Direct VIP sales role experience
  • Working flexible hours (evenings or weekends) is often needed to meet VIP client needs.

PREFERRED

Previous exposure to luxury, hospitality (Hotel, Airlines), private banking, or high-value B2B environments is highly advantageous.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. VIP Client Relationship Management
  • Build, nurture, and maintain strong, long-term relationships with high-net-worth and VIP clients.
  • Anticipate client needs and proactively deliver personalized service experiences that exceed expectations.
  • Design and execute bespoke service plans and luxury experiences tailored to individual client profiles.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all VIP client inquiries, requests, and sensitive issues, ensuring swift and confidential resolution.


2. Sales & Client Development
  • Drive business growth by identifying, targeting, and acquiring new VIP and Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) clients.
  • Lead client development activities and implement effective sales and retention strategies for high-value segments, including High Jewelry and department store VIP programs.


3. CRM & Data Analytics
  • Oversee management and optimization of the client database, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant data privacy laws.
  • Analyze client data and feedback to inform strategy, identify opportunities for improving service, and measure ROI on clienteling initiatives.
  • Utilize CRM and clienteling technologies to enhance client engagement, retention, and personalized communications.


4. Event Curation & Brand Experience
  • Design, coordinate, and execute exclusive events and VIP experiences that reinforce brand loyalty and drive new business opportunities.
  • Ensure exemplary hospitality and personalized attention at all client-facing events and activations.
  • Develop event-driven approaches to deepen client engagement and strengthen the luxury brand image.
