Long Term Strategy and Ad-Hoc Projects:

The Growth Insights Team is expected to have the "pulse" on where the industry is headed - in all senses of the phrase. In collaboration with the Director of Growth Insights and key stakeholders throughout Finance, Brand, and Commercial, you will periodically produce forecasts for the overall industry as well as key category, price segment, market, and retail partner trends. You will also be tasked with conducting ad-hoc "deep-dive" analyses on topics of interest, in which you will be expected to effectively analyze available data, synthesize key points, and tie your analysis into the broader picture of Diageo's overarching strategies. Ad-hoc projects are sometimes spurred by specific asks from key stakeholders, but also often "home-grown" topics identified by the team as critical to Diageo's long-term success; The ideal candidate will have the intellectual curiosity and ability to see the "30,000-foot view" to contribute such ideas.

Executive and Investor Support:

The Growth Insights team is tasked with keeping the executive leadership informed of key industry trends and portfolio performance in near real-time. The Growth Insights Manager will periodically produce materials for executive and commercial leadership reviews that illustrate trends in a clear and concise manner and will field questions and follow-ups where needed.

The Growth Insights Team is also the most significant contributor to NAM Market Investor Relations report and has significant responsibilities in preparing leadership for twice-annual earnings read-outs. The Growth Insights Team contributes significant thought leadership on economic outlook, industry trends, and Diageo performance in the U.S. marketplace.

Performance Insights and Reporting:

The Growth Insights Manager, in collaboration with the Growth Insights Analyst, will produce recurring reports surrounding syndicated data releases on industry and Diageo performance to keep the business informed in real-time. The Manager will work closely with Brand and Commercial teams on follow-ups and double-clicks into key performance topics.
