What will your role be?
Indonesia continues to be a key market in the continued growth of the Diageo business across APAC and with our continued growth in the region, we are now seeking to find a Commercial Director who can continue our continued acceleration in the market. Our Commercial Director will be passionate about overseeing all commercial initiatives across both on & off premise customer groups. Working closely with our key distribution partners and setting the sales strategy for future growth, our Commercial Director leads a large direct and indirect sales team to deliver profitable growth for our business.
What does this role look like for you?
- Build and implement ambitious trade strategies and commercial plans focused on building market share and profitability for the market
- Lead the top-top relationship with key distribution partners, building a long lasting and mutually beneficial partnership;
- Own the market pricing strategy, in partnership with Marketing & Finance;
- Inspire, mentor and grow the commercial team, including building capability and providing opportunities for growth in their careers.
- Sit on the Leadership team for Indonesia, partnering with your cross functional LT on key critical initiatives.
What will you bring to the table?
- Extensive experience in the FMCG/CPG or relevant cross sectors with deep understanding of the market channels.
- Consistent track record of successfully leading sales of similar scale and complexity to Diageo;
- Ideally, a thorough understanding of the market dynamics
- Strong business acumen and ability to devise business strategies and insights in understanding markets and positioning against competitors;
- Progressive/sophisticated understanding of category management and strategic customer management
- Ability to drive action & insights through data & experience in leading distributor partners to align with ambition and execution strategies of the company
- Strong interpersonal, communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills, shown ability to navigate in a global matrix organization; and
- Inspirational leadership, able to galvanize the multiple direct and indirect partners together to create brilliant execution
