About this role
Reporting to Managing Director Korea, the purpose of the role is to bring our sales & commercial capability in Korea to a world class standard, and to deliver breakthrough business performance through effective customer management and cross functional ways of working.

You will be responsible for:
- Obtain and apply facts and data to drive excellence in planning, decision making and performance measure for Diageo Korea to guide the organization ahead.
- Translate the business strategy into implementation plan and drive the highest standards of execution throughout the business and own the functional unit.
- Motivate the sales organization with a clear and powerful trade strategy, building strong and supportive trade relationships at senior and industry level.
- Establish and maintain excellence in the areas of customer, shopper and category insight, to inspire the breakthrough activations that motivate the oranisation to exceed goals.
- Lead the commercial team by example and act as role model, to keep developing and upskill the commercial team to ensure both commercial and talents prospect.
- Foster outstanding collaboration and build relationships internally and externally, to position our best brands in front of every customer and consumer.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong track record as commercial leadership in consumer industry, and ideally exposed to spirits and luxury category (although not a prerequisite for the ideal candidate).
- Exposure across different channels and different levels of customer sophistication (eg. Key Accounts, On Premise, Wholesaler), the vision into E-commerce is appreciated.
- Willingness to stay close with business and team in the front, to capture the opportunity& trends, enhance customer engagement and set the role mode to team.
- Consummate know-how of channel, pricing, consumer& customer, and the masterful negotiation skills to navigate the commercial success with customer.
- Self-motivating and positive character to engage the customer and inspire the team to challenge the status quo and achieve beyond.
