Brand Change & Innovation Analyst - Local production
- BC&I team support the creation and complete the CCV Innovation & Brand Change and producitivity project pipeline. These are key areas that will deliver the growth of the business and the operating profit of the business.
- BC&I team support the Business to improve Diageo competitive advantage, by developing new products, setting global quality requirements and driving sustainability across the organization. When it comes to the supply chain, there are three connected I&BC processes:
- Innovation process: partnering with Marketing to create and develop our future products.
- Brand Change process: re-energising existing Brands to adapt to changing consumer needs
- Research & Development (R&D): delivering breakthrough Brand and Category growth and creating a driven technical advantage. This is locally carried out through a Third Party Manufacturing network. By demonstrating on local producers to complete end to end product launches while accepting the Diageo Global Opex procedures & SOP 2030 guidelines.
- Project management of productivty projects along the E2E supply chain to support or producitivty commitments.
Role Overview
As the CCV Brand Change & Innovation Analyst, you will be responsible for successfully delivering agile technical solutions to respond to the business strategy and needs, completing the productivity agenda on both imported and local activities across the entire portfolio as to re-invest in Diageo Brands growth; This by ensuring governance, sustainability and product compliance processes are respected within the end to end supply chain & business projects.
Role Responsibilities:
- The role will need to adopt the BC&I processes from liquid and pack design to commercialization and production phases, overseeing that all due diligence is conducted, that risks are handled and shared with key collaborators and that COGs are developed to achieve the best quality and cost.
- The role is responsible of engaging and handling a cross collaboration team including Brand Technical Centers, R&D, Marketing and Innovation leads, copacking manufacturers in markets and at a global level.
- Full program ownership of supply's delivery programs from Gate 1 through to 90 days post-launch in full and on budget while hitting cost of goods targets and maintaining quality (OTIF critical metric).
- Provides supply input and commercial grounding during project development phases, driving resolution of commercialization hurdles that may arise and handling regular project communications to Supply and Demand project sponsors, technical operations and the broader supply community.
- Champions and builds exceptional relationships with collaborators and decision makers in demand and throughout the Supply organization (both CCV and Global).
- Applies eauthorityproject management skills to develop and mhandleproject timelines, address both technical and resourcing challenges and ensures risk profiles and mitigation plans are developed and driven for each project. Ensures projects are delivered on time and quality first time right. Ensures new products are correctly set up in our planning, replenishment, demand and commercial systems by working closely with customer service and data teams.
- Provide monthly critical metrics for Global reporting and apply RCPS and project learning sessions to implement corrective actions and introduce processes to improve performance.
Financial Responsibility:
- Collect the information vital to resolve COGs of projects working with procurement, technical, co-packers, Diageo plants and tax and finance.
- Handle risks by applying "underwrites" forms and risk assessment tools following the World Class Commercialization procedure
Leadership Responsibility:
- Reports to the Head of Brand Change & Innovation, CCV
- CCV Key Stakeholders: Supply extended team, Head of Innovation and Marketing category leads, Finance.
- Global Supply Key Stakeholders: Brand Technical Centres, regulatory, customer collaboration, marketing innovation and brand teams, co-packers, supply sites, suppliers, finance, design agencies, COE MOVE, PLAN, SOURCE, Shared service centres
- External key Collaborators: NPD teams at co-packers/suppliers.management.
Experience / skills required:
- Confirmed Project management experience and skills.
- Basic SAP knowledge related to material configuration and creation.
- Ability to challenge the status quo and accept the agility attitude in everything carried.
- Experience in manufacturing and having a technical background is an advantage.
- Experience in new products development and quality assurance from either consumer goods or pharmaceutical industries is an advantage.
- Procurement & finance acumen will be needed
- Fluent English and Spanish are required.
- Availability for travelling across Central America, Caribbean and Venezuela (15% of time, based on projects)
