The role may also involve occasional travel within the United States to support various projects and initiatives. What You'll Do:
As a System Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting Intelligence Community (IC) clients within a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF). Your responsibilities will encompass a range of systems security administration functions, ensuring the security and efficiency of our systems while maintaining compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
- System Management: Create and manage user accounts, monitor system resources, and perform day-to-day Local Area Network systems administration.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Conduct system backups, recovery procedures, patching, antivirus scans, and resolve desktop problems and service requests.
- Policy Implementation: Define and implement local system and operational policies and procedures in coordination with the ISSM.
- Documentation and Security: Write or modify scripts to resolve performance issues, maintain system documentation, and ensure network security, including application security and user authentication.
- Incident Response and Compliance: Collaborate to develop procedures to mitigate risks related to classified data spills and unauthorized accesses, ensuring adherence to Federal compliance guidelines.
- Hardware and Operational Support: Assist with the installation and setup of new hardware, establish preventive maintenance schedules, and conduct printer maintenance and support.
Your role is pivotal in maintaining system integrity and availability, supporting assessment and authorization activities, and staying informed about current security technologies, laws, and regulations.
Required Skills:
- 4+ years of experience in network, software, hardware support, or systems administration roles.
- Tier 1-2 administrative experience and user support capabilities.
- Proficiency in administering Windows Server 2019, Windows 10, and basic Linux environments.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware-related issues.
- Familiarity with DoD Directive 8570.01 Certification Requirements for IAT Level 1, and certifications such as Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) focused on Windows Server 2019 and Windows 10.
- Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware, Citrix, or Microsoft Virtual Server/Hyper-V.
- Technical knowledge of security system controls, policies, and operational security measures, including government security requirements and working knowledge of 32 CFR, NIST, CMMC, and ICD 503.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Ability to work on-site 5 days a week at primary locations in Chantilly and Rosslyn, VA, with occasional travel to other sites in Fairfax County, Annapolis Junction, MD, and the Washington D.C. metropolitan area for systems implementation, surge support, special projects, and meetings.
- Ability to travel 10%-25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
- Current TS/SCI clearance with a Polygraph.

- Bachelor's degree.
