Position Summary

Deloitte Tax LLP seeks a Software Engineer, Senior Manager in New York, NY.

Work You'll Do

Oversee engagement planning, economics, and billing for all engagements, and manage proposal development effort as well as overall management responsibility for each of the engagements. Serve as a subject matter expert with respect to market trends and competitor activities. Play substantive/lead role in retention of professionals and in building staff complement, mix, and recruiting. Oversee the selection and tailoring of approaches, methods, and tools to support service offerings or industry project. Build and nurture strong client relationships. Review the design, analysis, development, implementation, and deployment of new data driven web based applications, and issues final approvals. Lead a team of developers to deliver end-to-end web solutions for moderate to complex projects in a fast-paced environment. Interact with business analyst/client(s) to understand business problems being addressed. Review project requirements and estimate the necessary time-to-completion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
  • Six years of experience as a Software Engineer, Senior Manager or related occupation performing software development.
  • Experience must include six years of:
    • Performing software development using C#, ASP.NET, SQL server, and Windows services;
    • Performing all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including project preparation and blueprinting;
    • Interfacing with business analysts and clients to understand business problems, translating business needs into functional and nonfunctional requirements, creating technical design documents, and ensuring the delivery of appropriate technical solutions;
    • Liaising between business teams and software development teams to ensure that requirements are implemented as per business needs;
    • Collaborating with a team of developers to deliver end-to-end web solutions and performing code reviews;
    • Developing and maintaining the software framework and services using .NET and Microsoft technologies;
    • Creating unit test plans and scenarios for development unit testing, performing unit testing for new development, and documenting new development, procedures or test plans; and
    • Building web applications through all phases of the application lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design architecture, and deployment and maintenance.
  • Salary: $131,000.00 - $220,000.00/year.
