Position Summary

Deloitte Services LP seeks a Manager, Finance Business Partner in Los Angeles, CA.

Work You'll Do

Oversee periodic financial reporting. Develop initial business case and financial models to analyze financial results, plans, projections, forecasts, investments, and business case progress. Deliver timely financial analytics, reporting, and business counsel to effectively measure business performance against strategic priorities and business case. Provide meaningful, actionable insights, advice, and recommendations on historic and the future financial performance to leadership. Support leaders to successfully implement the business strategy. Work closely with operations team to support initiatives to help the business in achieving its strategic objectives. Coordinate with the Research & Analysis Center of Excellence (R&A CoE) on financial reporting. Establish deliverable structure and content. Review deliverables to ensure that they meet client expectations. Implement and enforce high standards for quality deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Economics, Business Administration, Management, Finance, Accounting, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
  • Five years of experience as a Manager, Finance Business Partner or related occupation gaining company valuations and financial modeling experience.
  • Experience must include four years of:
    • Performing business valuations and due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, common stock, tax purposes, and management planning purposes;
    • Reviewing and supporting valuations performed by appraisers;
    • Performing financial modeling to optimize the flexibility of business modeling projections, and providing independent opinions on the reliability of models;
    • Evaluating and verifying financial models by evaluating the quality of model construction, formulas, and logical structure, and correcting errors;
    • Utilizing Excel and VBA to formulate complex financial models and performing private company valuations for tax planning and compliance purposes;
    • Performing research and valuations using Bloomberg, IBISWorld, Thomson Research, and Capital IQ databases to collect information on publicly traded companies, market parameters and comparable transactions;
    • Building and implementing an evaluation process to yield higher efficiency in evaluation projects;
    • Building complex financial models to evaluate and measure return on investment (ROI) metrics;
    • Interfacing with client financial managers and executives, accounting professionals, and external counsel throughout the valuation process; and
    • Providing consultation to executives for identifying strategic priorities.
  • Salary: $123,240.00 - $181,900.00/year.
